The IGTOA - Ireland Golf Tour Operator Association Ltd is an organisation that represents Ireland's leading Golf Tour Operators. The IGTOA also represents the many companies that form the wider Irish Golf Tourism Industry. The IGTOA embodies Ireland's leading Golf Tour Operators, Golf Courses, Golf Resorts, Accommodation Providers, Transportation Providers and companies who offer supporting services to the golf tourism sector such as Golf Media, Golf Merchandising, Golf Course Services and Golf Equipment.
The IGTOA was launched in 1996 by Enda Kenny, former Taoiseach of Ireland. Our IGTOA Golf Tour Operators have a common goal, the promotion of Irish Golf Tourism and the positioning of Ireland as the best golfing destination in the world. Our IGTOA Golf Tour Operators offer a specialised and tailored service in the creation and implementation of your dream golfing trip to Ireland.
The remit of the IGTOA as an association is to represent the various segments of our membership on a number of issues, to facilitate communication between our IGTOA Golf Tour Operators and their suppliers and to promote the island of Ireland as a leading international golf destination.
The IGTOA engages with both the Department of Transport, Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media in the Republic of Ireland and the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment in Northern Ireland, working closely with both Ministerial offices and their respective tourism agencies on an annual basis.
In order to facilitate networking and communication between our association members the IGTOA hosts host the National Golf Tourism Conference and Gala Irish Golf Awards to network and exchange knowledge, build business relationship and recognise the best-in-class professionals within the Industry.
